Complete In Christ

Colossians 1:28
Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.

The word "perfect" means complete. It is not other people, things you own, nor your status in life that makes you complete. It is Jesus Christ and Him alone that makes your life complete and that is why they preached Christ to everyone. When we try to find our worth in what we do, what other people think of us, or in what we have in the natural we are always going to feel incomplete because in doing so we are trying to find our worth in the creation and not our Creator. It's not a selfie you take that everyone likes, nor getting compliments on something you've accomplished that makes you who you are. It is Christ who makes us what we are, a new creation. So look to Jesus to find your true worth and identity in life, not the world, other people, nor things in this world, and you will have all that completes you.

The Truth Shall Set You Free

John 8:31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.
John 8:32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

God's Word will only help you to the degree that you hear, receive, and act upon it. God's Word spoken brought into existence everything we see. There is nothing more powerful than the Word of God. His Word is a prevailing force. The word prevail means to prove more powerful than any opposing force, to be victorious. In Acts 19:20 scripture says that the Word continued to grow mightily and prevail. This was a result of the disciples teaching the people what God's Word said. The more that Word grew and came alive in the hearts of those who heard it, the more that Word prevailed in and through their lives. To get God's Word in us we must hear it, speak it, meditate on it, and live it. For those who do, this prevailing force, the Word of God, will work in and through your life; proving itself more powerful than any opposing force, and it will help you to live a victorious life.

Let Down Your Nets

Luke 5:4-6
4 When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down your NETS for a catch.”
5 But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the NET.”
6 And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking.

God is always willing to do more than we realize. What a powerful story of how Jesus wanted to bless Peter for allowing Him to use his boat to preach the gospel to the crowd gathered on the shore. After fishing all night and catching nothing Jesus tells them right where to drop their NETS to catch fish. Peter responds telling Him they had fished all night catching nothing as if to say I am the fisherman, you are the preacher, I know how to fish. But Jesus knows how to do all things well. Peter being skeptical just lets down one NET. Of course they catch so much fish they have to call for their friends boat to help. God is only hindered in blessing us to the degree we can believe. He is only limited by our faith, not His willingness or ability. God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all we ask or think. It is up to us what we can believe God for so use your faith and obey His Word.

Leave The Past Behind

Philippians 3:13-14
13 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead,
14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

A key to moving forward into all God has for your life is to forget what is behind. If you hold on to the past you will remain there. In the Old Testament the first generation of the children of Israel once delivered out of Egypt kept looking back to Egypt and they did not go forward into the promise land God had for them. Only Joshua and Caleb let go of the past and were therefore able to enter the promise God had awaiting them. Stop thinking about, talking about, and focusing on your past and what is behind you. Stop seeing the person you used to be and start seeing in scripture who God has made you to be. Leave the past, yours and others where it belongs, behind you. When you let go of the past you can then move forward by faith into what God has promised for you.

God Is With Us

Ephesians 2:13
But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

No believer should ever feel like God is far from them, for we have been reunited with God through Christ Jesus. We are one spirit with the Lord and He will never leave you nor forsake you. The sin nature that stood between us and God has been washed away by the blood of Jesus. It was this sin nature that separated us from God, and all that He is. Jesus said that for those who put their faith in Him that He and the Father would come and abide in them. He has done so by sending the Holy Spirit to come and live in us. This is one of the reasons we no longer have any reason to live in fear, for greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world. The devil and all his demons are no match for God, and He lives within every born again believer. So there is no reason to live in fear of the powers of darkness, nor should you ever feel lonely, for all who have received salvation have the Spirit of God living in them. Don't fall for these deceptive lies, instead walk in the realty of the truth by declaring to yourself that greater is He that is in me than He that is in the world.

Seated With Christ

Ephesians 2:6
… and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,…

Every believer has been seated together with Christ at the right hand of the Father. This is recognized as a position of authority over all the powers of darkness. It is the same position of authority Adam had before he sinned. You have been seated with Christ far above all principalities, powers, might, dominion, and every name that is named. This authority means you have been given delegated power. You exercise your authority over satan and all his works by faith in the name of Jesus, the name above all names. So don't allow the powers of darkness to rule over you. Use the name of Jesus and keep them under your feet where they belong.

One In Christ

Galatians 3:28
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

God is no respecter of persons, but a respecter of faith. He has no favorites for He sees all the same through Christ. What pleases Him is when we believe His Word, speak His Word, and act as if His Word is true because it is. God does not do special favors for some, God looks upon us all the same. In Acts 10:34 Peter declared that God shows no partiality for Jesus was anointed by God and He went about doing good TO ALL. Jesus has not changed for He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. For all who have faith in Him are able to receive from Him what He has provided. Don’t ever fall for the lie that God only heals or blesses certain people, for He has revealed through His Word and through His Son He is no respecter of persons, but He is a respecter of faith. Jesus said, “If you can believe, all things are possible to Him who believes”. That is His promise to everyone.
